I changed the brush from Hardness 075 to Hardness 100, this did nothing. I have to click the area about 20 times to get it to be as dark as the area I'm cloning. It looks as if one click barely puts a clone on it. It shouldn't be anywhere near that light, it should be much truer to the color I cloned. Notice the very light blue and the very light white. Anyways, I was able to clone something I noticed, but it's not what I expected. The image I was testing was the American Flag. This screenshot is created from a simple new image that I pasted from the web. Let me know if I need to post anything else to help solve my issue. Why is this and how can I fix it? Here's a screenshot of my Tool Options. Unfortunately, nothing happens when I attempt to apply the clone. Normally, I hold the CTRL key down, click what I want to clone, then release the CTRL key and click the area I want to apply the clone. I apparently pressed a button that I don't know, and suddenly my cloning tool isn't working. I changed this to 100 and now I'm seeing the desired effect. With it, you can easily and quickly copy an image or pattern from one place to another. r/FreeCAD FOSS Parametrical CAD/CAM /r/scribus Desktop Publishing Darktable FOSS tool for photographers Clone tool GIMP is one of the many useful and popular features within the GIMP program. r/gmic FOSS image processing framework /r/inkscape Vector-based graphic editor /r/blender 3D modeling, animation, & rendering /r/mypaint painting for digital painters /r/darktable/ photo editing software /r/krita digital painting application /r/synfig FOSS 2D Animation /r/FOSSPhotography Folks who use all the above /r/libredesign changing the paradigm Other Links of Interest Outreach through well written tutorials, presentation etc.
